Everything Is Arranged for Your Ultimate Dissatisfaction

babies 1 - 2009_1

Works from the Future and Family series. Installation sculptures & wall-based assemblages range from melting lard in "Chubby Couple" to James White's resin "Babies" alongside "Un-safe" - a smashed safe - and 'Pussy Posse' - a sequence of moulded forms.

Exhibition runs from Wed Sept 30th - Sun Oct 4th 2009

"Everything Is Arranged for Your Ultimate Dissatisfaction" presents the disavowal of materialism - a side step from the heady days of Madonna's Material World - posing a paradigm shift in cultural consumption. Technology based works "My Death..." present treasured products in their ultimate resting place. "I imagine a world of ever growing modernity with detachment from the physical, this is nothing radical - it's taking place now. Immaterial culture is King ... we've changed." - James White, artist.
